Summer at Heeman’s
Berry season is here, which means we've been spending a lot of time at Heeman's. We went strawberry picking with dear friends and also worked on a couple of photoshoots to capture the summertime at the farm. The fields are lush and loaded with berries, the greenhouse was full of vibrant colours, fresh aromas of flowers and bees buzzing around. Some things have changed, but others remain the same, like the kids' big smiles when they get their strawberry milkshakes at the Beery Beanery. The new drive-through proves to be a success, with non-stop cars lining up to get strawberry flats, and one of the most exciting news of all is the new Blue Berry Seasonal Cider they just released. With a blend of local raspberries and blueberries, it is an incredible addition to their cider family. It is always such a pleasure to visit the Heeman's family and get a taste of what a real family business looks like, from the youngest grandson, all the way to the proudest grandpa, everyone plays their part in the day to day operations.
