Creativity Lab Report #11: Farewell London
We'll just start with the little reminder to Rejoin the lab list if you want to continue being part of our journey!
There are only two more emails left for this list, and we'll begin 2022 with a new lab fam email list! We'll focus on promoting a decentralized internet, so we'll post less on social and more in our blog and emails to keep it more personal.
We don't need to broadcast our images and thoughts to the world; we only need to share them with those who care. The benefit of doing things on a small scale is that it can become a two-way street. You hear about us, and we can hear about you too! So don't ever hesitate to hit that "reply" button; we're here for you!
Farewell London
We gave our best, but there is not much left for us here, so we’ll bring our books, props, ideas, energies and sweat somewhere else. We are thankful for the experiences we had and the people we met in the seven years we lived under the 519 area code. Sadly, we now know that this place will never feel like home. We will always be strangers in this land, and many situations have reinforced that we don't belong here.
We will receive the new year where the mountains meet the sea and ancient trees dance to the rhythm of the wind. We're heading out to BC. When you hike up a mountain you’re rewarded with a breath-taking view. We found that working hard in this city never rewarded us with that “picture-perfect” outcome, so we felt it was time for a change of landscape.
Most may not even notice our absence, but we know that a small few will miss us dearly, and we will miss them too. However, the magic of true friendship is that it knows no borders, so we are confident that nothing will change no matter the distance. Hopefully, we'll even get some visits out west. Our doors will always be open for those who hold a sacred space in our hearts.
On our bookshelf
We usually read reference books to satisfy our deep curiosity and try to understand the world around us. But, somehow, Like Streams To The Ocean by Jedidiah Jenkins ended up in our hands, and after reading the first few pages, we couldn't put the book down. It satisfied our romantic side, the one that usually gets buried in science and facts.
There was something deeply personal, vulnerable and unique to it, like peeking into someone's diary. It is a collection of personal stories that hold life lessons between the words while simultaneously exploring the eight subjects that give life meaning: ego, family, home, friendship, love, work, death, the soul.
Reading this book inspired us to incorporate more memoirs into our reading list to connect with strangers and perhaps understand parts of ourselves through their stories. So please hit "reply" and drop a few names if you have any memoirs or autobiographies to recommend.

We first heard about the 7-year cycles while finishing our Yoga Teacher Training Course in Argentina. It instantly clicked with us as it states that every living being goes through stages of growth and rebirth several times throughout their lives. We could even say that we live several lives within our own. This year marks the end of our current 7-year cycle, and since we will be starting a new chapter in our lives, we thought it would be fitting to relocate, restructure our business and reorganize our lifestyle.

The last pieces of us
We discovered pottery a few years ago. It is a fascinating craft and also a challenging one to learn. It requires endless practice hours and countless trials and errors. We are far from mastering the techniques, but we made a limited number of “farewell pieces” to leave in town for those who would like to remember us. They’ll be exclusive to our newsletter members and we will sell them each for $25, which will most likely go towards moving expenses.
Also if you would like to see us one last time before we leave, we’ll be doing. little Boxing Day garage sale on December 26th. We’ll be selling books, antiques and kitchenware. Send us an email and we’ll give you more details!
To continue with the farewell pieces, we introduced the Live Well Collection to the world at the Covent Garden Holiday Market and the Kellogg’s Merry Market, and now we'd like to officially announce our exceptional retail partners. In our minds
“An artist is a collector. Not a hoarder, mind you, there’s a difference: hoarders collect indiscriminately, the artist collects selectively. They only collect things that they really love. You’re only going to be as good as the stuff you surround yourself with.” – Austin Kleon
